As a maritime volunteer,
you make a life-changing impact!
Want to put your maritime skills to work where they matter most?
Mercy Ships is a Christian-based charity that operates the hospital ships Global Mercy and Africa Mercy, providing free surgery and medical training. All of our programs are supported by volunteers, and our crews are made up of hundreds of professionals serving in a wide range of roles.
Volunteer on a Hospital Ship. Your Maritime Skills Are Needed.
The smooth operation of our hospital ships is essential to delivering life-changing care. By serving on deck or in the engine department, you help make it possible for our medical teams to provide free surgery and training where it is needed most. Your work on board is part of a greater mission: ensuring that people have access to healthcare they might otherwise never receive.
A volunteer assignment at sea with Mercy Ships is more than a job. It is an opportunity to use your maritime expertise to change lives and bring hope. At the same time, you will gain unique international experience and become part of a dedicated, vibrant, and multicultural shipboard community.
